This qualification is aimed at anyone working in a supervisory
position where food and/or drink is processed or manufactured
who has previously achieved a Level 3 Award in Food
Safety Supervision for Manufacturing.

Course Description

This level 3 award in food safety supervision for the manufacturing sector of the food industry is ideal for those supervising food hygiene and safety in meat plants, seafood factories, vegetable processing plants and bottled beer factories.

Focusing on HACCP, and the role of the Supervisor in establishing and maintaining an effective food safety system, the level 3 food safety supervision for manufacturing is ideal for those responsible for overseeing food safety standards.

Students will explore legislation, good safety practices (including what pre requisites are), food safety management procedures, training, communication and more important considerations in the safety of food for manufacturing.

Successful completion of the training programme and
assessment will enable candidates to understand:
• how food business operators can ensure compliance
with food safety legislation
• the application and monitoring of good food safety
practice
• how to implement food safety management procedures
• the role of supervision in food safety management
procedures.
