The OCN NI Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment is a knowledge qualification for understanding the assessment function, part of a range of units formerly known as the D32/33 & A1/A2 awards. The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 3 Award in Understanding Assessment is the first step to becoming an Assessor in a learning and development setting.

The knowledge based assessor award is delivered online or on demand for organisations requiring understanding of assessment processes and practices. The award is ideal for training course and assessment managers. Part of the L3 CAVA qualification, we facilitate at our training rooms in Antrim for groups. Onsite delivery is the preferred choice for larger organisations in Northern Ireland.

The NOCN Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment is for assessors who deliver RQF qualifications or those that use the term ‘NVQ’ in their title. The practical workplace assessor qualification is suitable for other non-NVQ staff whose purpose is to confirm occupational competence. The dual-award qualification makes up two thirds of the CAVA Qualification.

CAVA Level 3 can be facilitated through a blend of online and classroom sessions for individuals and groups. The assessing occupational competence award is assessed in part at your workplace. The OCNNI Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement is the next step in assessing knowledge and comprehension in a specialist area. The RQF (AVA) Qualification is a knowledge and competence qualification for carrying out assessments in an environment other than the workplace; for example, simulated or training environment. This qualification is also on its own, two-thirds of the full CAVA Qualification.

Courses are delivered mostly in Belfast, County Antrim in Northern Ireland; however, training can be facilitated B2B in England, Scotland and Wales. This qualification is also available to organisations internationally.

The NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is for assessors who deliver RQF qualifications or those that use the term ‘NVQ’ in their title. The full certificate in assessing vocational achievement course comprises three units. The triple-award qualification includes the principles and practices unit, the assessing occupational competence unit and the vocational skills, knowledge and understanding unit. The CAVA Assessor Qualification replaces the previous A1, D32 and D33 Units.

The NVQ Assessor Certificate – CAVA Level 3 can be facilitated through a blend of online and classroom sessions for individuals and groups.
